This is in recognition of our commitment to putting employees first and building a culture which encourages growth and career progression. At SWR, our mission is to “Build a Company to be proud of by enhancing the lives of our people, customers and the community”.
That’s why everyone at the company has a Personal Development Plan so no one stays at the same point of their career for long. We’ve also created a ‘Learning and Innovation Room’ which allows people to take a break from their day jobs to learn new skills.
The extra time spent on developing people means SWR has a vibrant, caring atmosphere with employees feeling they are part of long-term business success. A newly fitted common area with pool and table tennis doesn’t hurt either!
Managing Director Jason Lee said: “There’s a genuine passion of support among the people here to make the organisation a success.
He had a second cap fitted in January 2019 – one made of calcium and titanium that “grew” over the missing part of his skull. Again, his body rejected the stitched so that was removed in Easter 2019.
“We’re delighted to be a finalist and look forward to the Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards Dinner on 7th June”.
About the Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards
Founded in 2012, the Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards were created to celebrate the outstanding contribution that businesses and individuals make to the growth of the county. The awards enable Hertfordshire businesses to showcase the achievements to clients, suppliers and the entire Hertfordshire business community.
Yolanda Rugg, Chief Executive of Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “The Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards was established at the height of the recession in response to the media picture of doom and gloom.
“We wanted to boost confidence by showcasing Hertfordshire’s high performance organisations and centres of excellence to raise ambition and inspire others”.
